The story behind the work

The Every Child Matters design is his

Andy Everson is K'ómoks and Kwakwaka'wakw, a hereditary chief who carries the name Ḵ̓wa̱mxa̱laga̱lis I'nis. He works in traditional Northwest Coast formline, and in pieces that set formline against contemporary references. Both belong to the same body of work.

One of the most recognized Every Child Matters designs is his. He allows its use — he does not license it.

He has designed for Totem Design House since 2016, and is paid a royalty on every piece of his that we sell.
